Sandie Shaw – Age 74

Sandie Shaw is a versatile singer who shot to fame in the ’60s. In that decade, she became renowned for her hit songs like “(There’s) Always Something There to Remind Me,” “Long Live Love,” and “Puppet on a String” She took the British music scene by storm.

She also won the Eurovision Song Contest. This was with the latter song, which also made her the first-ever British entrant to win the competition. She faded a little as Beatlemania ran wild, but she returned to the UK charts in 1984, with a cover of The Smiths song, “Hand in Glove.” She retired in 2013 but appeared in the 2017 documentary “My Generation.”
