Eileen Derbyshire – Age 90

Britain must make their soap opera stars of stern stuff. That’s because not only do they have the longest-serving actor in a single role, but in Eileen Derbyshire, they have the second longest-serving actor in a role. When she retired from her role as Emily Bishop on “Coronation Street” in 2016, she had been in the part for 55 years.

She earned an MBE for her work and had some juicy storylines, including one where her inability to have children caused her marriage problems. She had no problems bearing children in reality and is the mother to well-known British sports journalist Oliver Holt.
