Bern Nadette Stanis – 1953

Bern Stanis became a household name in the ’70s and has remained so ever since. The role of Thelma in “Good Times” made her name in Hollywood. Bern’s career peaked during the run of this comedy, which aired from 1974 until 1979. Although she was able to work on a variety of other projects after the program ended, her success is largely due to her time on the show.

As of 2022, she temporarily stopped working but conducted a few interviews. Alongside her acting career, she is the author of four books, such as “Situations 101: Relationships, Good, Bad and Ugly,” “For Men Only,” “Situations: Finances,” and “The Last Night.”
