Ernest Lee Thomas – 1949

Ernest Thomas rose to great heights as an actor thanks in large part to his performance as Roger “Raj” Thomas in the comedy “What’s Happening.” Another important character that was added to “Everybody Hates Chris” was Mr. Omar. In the middle of the ’70s, he made his Broadway debut in two revivals that were performed consecutively on the “Great White Way: Love for Love” and “Member of the Wedding.”

After that, he uprooted his life and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in cinema and television. Additionally, he has had appearances in works such as “Roots,” “The Brady Bunch Hour,” and “A Piece of Action.”
