Helen Worth is an English actress, best known for her role as Gail Platt in the popular ITV soap opera “Coronation Street.” She has portrayed the character since 1974 and in 2014 was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award at the British Soap Awards.

Helen is an ardent supporter of the Born Free Foundation, an international wildlife charity striving to end individual wild animal suffering and safeguard threatened species. In 2006, she had the honor of appearing on television to promote the organization’s initiatives. She delivered a speech at the House of Commons in support of proposed changes to the Animal Welfare Bill.
