Kate McGregor is renowned for her portrayal of Emily Kirk in the ITV soap opera “Emmerdale.” She made her television debut in May 1999 and went on to play the role for the next eight years, taking maternity leave between December 2005 and October 2006.
In December 2007, she decided to leave the show, citing a desire to spend more time with her family and feeling that her character had run its course.
