Julie Walters is often recalled for her voice role in the show “Terry Pratchett’s The Abominable Snow Baby,” yet her legacy in Hollywood goes way back. It all started when she transitioned from nursing school to study theater at Manchester Polytechnic School of Drama.
Walters gained prominence for the title role “Educating Rita” and went on to appear in major projects such as “Sister My Sister,” the “Harry Potter” film series, and “Mary Poppins Returns.” Walters won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress four times. Her contribution to the industry led her to be a Dame in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to drama.
