Sally Ann Howes (Born In 1930) – Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Sally Ann Howes might have taken a break from acting, but she will always be remembered for her screen, stage, and television career that lasted over six decades. She is the daughter of late comedian Bobby Howes and actress Patricia Malone. As such, it wasn’t a surprise that she embarked on a similar journey.
She was first known in the ’40s, yet it was her role as Truly Scrumptious in the 1968 musical film “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” that made her big. It led her to star in more productions. Her performance in the musical “Brigadoon” earned her a Tony Award for Best Lead Actress in a Musical nomination.
