Widely commended for his forceful and commanding stage presence, Derek Jacobi has established a remarkable stage career. He has appeared in almost all of William Shakespeare’s creations, from “Hamlet,” “Romeo and Juliet,” to “Much Ado About Nothing.” Queen Elizabeth II gave him a knighthood for his services to the theater.
Jacobi also enjoyed film and television success, having starred in critically acclaimed projects “I, Claudius,” “Cadfael,” and the Netflix series “The Crown.” On top of his long list of accolades are two Laurence Olivier Awards. For someone who has accomplished much at his age, Jacobi continued to pursue his passion and acted in the 2022 series “Good Omens.”
