The Organiser Performs – Geldof and The Boomtown Rats Take The Stage

This show wouldn’t have happened without the hard work and determination of Bob Geldof. So it’s only fitting that he also gets some time in the London sun. He did just that and was right on cue for lunchtime with his Boomtown Rats band.

The crowd was in good spirits with him, too, and took in every bit of the band’s big hits such as I Don’t Like Mondays, Rat Trap, and Drag Me Down. The 72,000 strong audiences were also well aware of who they needed to salute for the concert and broke into a chant of For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow during the set.
