Duets and Dual Sets – Whirlwind Performance by Sting and Phil Collins
There are a few special things about Sting and Phil Collins’s set at Live Aid. Not only did they alternate their songs, but Collins was also set to join Led Zeppelin on stage at the U.S. event, meaning he was off on a Concorde straight after this performance to meet up with Page and Plant.
But in London, Sting brought Roxanne, Driven to Tears and Message in a Bottle, while Collins provided Against all Odds and the smash-hit In The Air Tonight. They then dueted on Long Log Way To Go and Every Breath You Take. Apparently, Collins’s set with Led Zeppelin in the U.S. was disastrous.
