Loalwa Braz – 63 (1953-2017)
The iconic Brazilian singer Loalwa Braz is best known for her vocal performance in “Llorando se fue,” a ballroom dance classic known as the “Lambada.” As an artist, the versatile late singer from Rio de Janeiro performed in at least four languages, including Spanish, French, and English!
Braz passed away in 2017, at the age of 63. She was the victim of a tragic “robbery gone awry” that shocked the world and her loyal fans in particular. After making so many people happy with her Afro-Caribbean tunes, Braz got the end she didn’t deserve. May her soul rest in peace, for her legacy is immortal.
