One of the more famous underground artists is Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., known mononymously as Stormzy, who gained popularity due to his “Wicked Skengman” series that showcased his grime beats. Since he launched “Shut Up” on YouTube, he hasn’t stopped from impressing his peers and critics alike.
Due to his socially conscious works and sick beats, it didn’t take long before he found success. Fast forward today and he is worth $25 million, has championed his advocacies, and continues to reign in the British rap world. In September 2021, Stormzy even spoke and gave valuable pieces of advice to Billie Eilish.
