Rapper Elliot John Gleave got his stage name Example because of his initials, E.G. According to WealthyGorilla, he was smart as a child who had photographic memory and was good with numbers. As such, it wasn’t surprising that he was impressive as well in terms of lyricism.
He started gaining attention in 2006 after releasing a single under his label, All the Chats. Example released his debut album “What We Made” in the same year. He also dipped his toes into stand-up comedy, joining “The Culture Show” at BBC2. The rapper, who filmed a documentary in Ukraine, announced in 2020 that he was focusing on creating more musical projects.
