Oksana Chusovitina
While some athletes only represent one country, gymnast Oksana Aleksandrovna Chusovitina got to bring pride to Uzbekistan, the Soviet Union, and Germany. In 1988. she was the winner of the USSR Junior Nationals, and then she competed internationally the following year.
She’s the only woman in gymnastics who competed in the Olympics eight times. Chusovitina is also among the few gymnasts who returned to competitions even after having a baby. She said in 2012 that she would retire and shift her focus to coaching, but she made her way to Tokyo in 2021.
