Joanna Kerns – Growing Pains

Joanna Kerns had a major breakthrough in the industry after appearing in the late ’80s sitcom “Growing Pains.” However, earlier on excelled at gymnastics and competed during the 1968 Olympic trials. Her efforts shifted to dancing, and she majored in dance at UCLA. She spent the early ’70s auditioning for TV commercials and acting gigs.

She started landing guest appearances in ’70s TV shows like “Charlie’s Angels,” CHiPs,” and “Magnum P.I.” Kerns continues acting, and in 2021 she guest-starred in the TV series “Break a Bat! where Baseball Meets Broadway.” She also graces several talk shows and has regularly appeared on “Entertainment Tonight” since 2019.
