Contents of the Letter
To put his worries to rest, Mason read the note. At least by doing that, he’ll allay his fears about the unprecedented situation. The tone of the letter shook him to the core. It was an unequivocal and horrifying note that carried a heavy meaning.
No, it wasn’t an abduction case, as he had thought at some point, but it contained Julia’s request for some time alone from him. She, apparently, needed to think through what they had just done over the day in a secluded environment. One of her requests was to be allowed to come back to their hotel room the next morning.
