Magical Touch

This perfectly timed image seems to be of something magical happening when it is just a bubble popping. Taken by Richard Heeks, this is an excellent reminder of how we consistently fail to see how magical-looking this mundane activity is and given how fast this can take place, the photographer worked his skills to capture such a beautiful moment.

Bubbles display iridescence because of the reflection of the interaction of light on the back and front of the soap bubble. While we see this almost every day, we fail to appreciate its beauty because we are often busy with our mundane tasks.
