Every “NCIS” fan knows who Michael Weatherly is, especially his character Anthony DiNozzo, a charismatic senior field agent. That said, many loyal viewers were saddened when the Saturn Award-nominated actor left his post during the show’s 13th season in 2016.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Weatherly shared that he left “NCIS” because he wanted a new challenge—and that’s exactly what he found next. He moved on to lead the cast of the CBS show “Bull” as the titular Jason Bull, a psychologist specializing in trial science. He continues to do so as the legal drama airs its sixth season in 2021.
