No Fish In Transit
If you’re taking the train in Dubai, you may stumble across an unexpected sign. It features a fish with a bright red slashed circle over it, commonly seen at the Palm Deira station, located right next to the fish market. This peculiar sign alerts travelers of the Dubai Metro’s by-laws, prohibiting carrying any animal except guide dogs.
Like in any other country, one must be aware of the rules and regulations that mandate what one can and cannot bring onto public transportation. While it is indeed a unique sign, it serves an important purpose for those who are visiting the area, no doubt because of its smell in the heat of the UAE.
