Micheline Lanctôt – 74, Sonatine

Micheline Lanctôt is a Canadian actress, film director, screenwriter, and singer who has appeared in films such as “Sonatine” (1984), “Pour l’amour de Dieu” (2011), and “L’homme à tout faire” (1980). Lanctôt began her acting career in 1972, receiving a Canadian Film Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Gilles Carle’s “The True Nature of Bernadette.”

She has since starred in some films and television shows, including Carle’s “The Heavenly Bodies.” In the 2004 edition of Le Combat des livres, broadcast on Première Chaîne, Lanctôt defended Gaétan Soucy’s novel “The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches.” In 2021, she appeared as ‘Jeanne’ in “Laughter.”
