Barry Sanders (Born in 1968)
With his agility and quickness, Barry Sanders established himself as one of the most elusive runners in the National Football League. He led the league in rushing yards four times and once in a rushing touchdown. In 2007, he was ranked number one by NFL Networks’ NFL Top 10 series as the most elusive runner in NFL history.
Sanders retired early, right when he was about to become the most prolific rusher in NFL history. He stated that his desire to leave the game was stronger than his desire to stay. Sanders now serves as an ambassador to the Detriot Lions.
