Diana Taurasi (Born in 1982)
Diana Taurasi is an American professional basketball player. She has won a historic five Olympic gold medals, was voted WNBA’s most valuable player in 2009, and has been selected to ten WNBA All-Star and fourteen All-WNBA teams. In 2017 she became WNBA’s all-time leading scorer.
She is considered one of WNBA’s greatest players, and her ability to score at crucial moments earned her the nickname “White Mamba.” Kobe Bryant coined this nickname for Taurasi. In 2011 fans voted her one as WNBA’s of the best players of all time. Taurasi is married to former teammate Penny Taylor.
