Idris Elba – $3.33 Million, London

Idris Elba’s posh neighbors threw quite the hissy fit in 2017 when they realized the “Thor: Ragnarok” actor planned to build a music studio in his East London home. The iconic actor bought the Hackney residence for $3.33 million before deciding on renovating the basement and building a music studio in it.

According to the plans Elba submitted to the local council, he intended on demolishing a large part of his basement and extending it to his back garden to build a music, film, and post-production studio inside. In September 2021, the “Mountain Between Us” actor and a business partner opened their “Porte Noire” restaurant in London.
