The Final Goodbye
The unfortunate part was that they couldn’t have predicted that would be their final goodbye. Shelby recounted feeling that something wasn’t right and a feeling of dread overcame her when she bid TJ goodbye. It’s like she had a premonition about a looming misfortune, and worst is that it came to pass.
Just like the deployed serviceman, the family members who stay at home handle several everyday crises. They often don’t reveal all the problems they are facing to their loved one who is away to save them from worrying about what’s going back home, while they are literally putting their life on the line.
