Combat Deployment

TJ had to leave soon, and worse yet, he had been deployed for his first combat mission. In 2007, he had enlisted with the North Carolina National Guard, and four years into his service, TJ was about to go to a war zone. 

It was only five months after they had welcomed TJ V, but he had to respond to the call of duty. He was going off to Afghanistan under the Operation Enduring Freedom campaign, where he would serve as a military policeman. It felt different than his previous trips.
