Paul Scholes & Claire Froggatt

While Paul Scholes is the closest thing England has come to having the next Paul Gascoigne, he wasn’t much of a spotlight seeker. This is why, despite his prodigious talents, he was never as recognized as his teammates like David Beckham and Ryan Giggs. But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t lucky in love.

He has been married to his childhood sweetheart Claire Scholes (née Froggatt) since 1999. They share three children, the youngest of whom, a son, has autism. There were reports in 2020 that Paul and Claire had split, and she had left the marital home and stopped wearing her wedding ring.
