A Message From the Past
An American geologist intentionally left behind this message inside a bottle near a glacier in Canada in the 1950s. This aide-memoire had a few directives to the finder, allowing whoever found the note to discover eye-opening information. The geologist left clear instructions noting the measurement of the distance between the glacier and a cairn.
The now long-gone scientist was supposedly collecting data for studies on glacier movements over time but didn’t have enough funding in the ’50s. The distance was solely around four feet when the bottle was left behind and incredibly grew to over 330 feet by 2013, astounding experts everywhere.
