A Friendly Helping Hand

The picture of these poor, freezing donkeys huddled together in the snow spread on the internet like wildfire. The piteous animals presumably came from a remote rural village in Turkey, where someone took this picture. Fortunately, some residents went over to the donkeys’ aid and removed the frost from their shivering bodies. The group survived and got out of their iced state, living, and whole.

Perhaps the most surprising revelation in the incident was the locals discovering that these hardy and resilient animals can survive even in extreme weather conditions. A feat made all the more impressive when you consider that donkeys don’t have thick protective fur.
