Robert Carlyle (Born In 1961) – Cracker
Robert Carlyle was inspired by Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” and decided to try his luck in drama at the Glasgow Arts Centre. After graduating from a music and drama school, he co-founded the theater company, Raindog. He also started appearing onscreen, with his first movie being “Riff-Raff.”
In 1994, Carlyle had his breakthrough in the episode of “Cracker,” where he played Albert Kinsella. He was acclaimed for his pure and strong performance and given more prominent roles. His most successful projects are “Hamish Macbeth,” “Trainspotting,” and “The Full Monty.” The latter gave him a BAFTA Best Actor Award. Apart from acting, he established a career as a narrator in video games.
