Band Of Brothers – Everyone’s A Hero In U2
As the band became more and more popular, Bono and The Edge became the face and force of U2 as a brand. But back in 1985, with the band fresh off the release of their album War, they were still a pretty even quartet, with even bassist Adam Clayton getting some limelight.
In those days, and on War, every band member got a songwriting credit, just for their contribution to the song. The thing about Clayton was that, during Bono’s long intermission on Bad to get the girl out of the crowd, he was the key to keeping things together by playing the bassline throughout the break.
