David James – Chudleigh, £3 Million

David James, the former footballer/goalkeeper who hardly ever left the limelight while still playing and maintaining a high income. So great that the size of his house is proof! James had bought his Devon house for £1.5 million, and his ex-wife Tanya put up the triple-story pad for sale at a price tag of £3 million in 2015 but then took it off the list.

The football star went down the hole of bankruptcy after split from his ex-wife in 2005 and even sold his signed shirts to recover from it and escape. James is estimated to have earned up to £20million throughout his career on the field.
