Gemma Merna | Known For: Hollyoaks, On Air For 26 Years

Born in Manchester, England, Gemma Merna grew up to become an actress and model. She is no longer active as an actress, but she most certainly left a memorable mark during her short period as one. Merna will always be remembered for the justice she did to the role of Carmel McQueen in Hollyoaks for eight years.

Merna joined its cast in August 2006 and won the award for the Best Comedy Performance in 2007 at the British Soap Awards. The 37-year-old had a modeling career as well. Happily married to Ian Minton since 2012, Merna still makes the occasional appearance on TV shows like Virtually Famous and The Chase.
