Emily Symons | Known For: Home And Away, On Air For 33 Years

Emily Symons was a colleague of Kate McGregor as she, too, played over 300 episodes on Emmerdale between 2001 and 2008. Symons gave life to Louise Appleton’s character during this period. However, that surprisingly wasn’t the most notable work of her career.

Symons is best known for playing Marilyn Chambers’s character in Home and Away—a role that she first won in 1989 and continues to this day (although she did have breaks in between). The 51-year-old hasn’t had much luck in the marriage department, having gone through two divorces. After years of trying to have a baby, her dream finally came true in 2015 as she birthed her son.
