Emmanuel & Brigitte Macron – 25 Years

There’s more to the controversy that surrounded French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte than a 25 year age difference. It’s the fact that when they met and fell in love, he was 15 and she was 39. She was a teacher at his school and met at a theater workshop that she was hosting.

Mind you; they waited until he was 18 before they started dating, much to the vitriol of his parents, who tried desperately to keep them apart. But their efforts were in vain, and the couple married in 2007. They say she was important to his winning presidential campaign, aiding him with public speaking skills.
