Johnnie Mae Young AKA Miss May Young – Died At The Age Of 90

Having started her wrestling career in 1939, Miss May Young is considered as one of the pioneers of women’s wrestling. Throughout her wrestling career, she toured all over the United States and Canada and was able to win numerous championships under the National Wrestling Alliance. She and Mildred Burke became the first-ever female competitors who went on a tour post-war in 1954. Young must be the only wrestler whose wrestling career spanned over 7 decades. Even if she already died at the age of 90, she is still a part of the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum.
