Johnny Depp and Amber Heard – $7 Million pledge for donation

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have had one of the most volatile divorces in Hollywood history. They started dating in 2012 after meeting on the set of The Rum Diary in 2009. They dated for six years, and in 2015 tied the knot, but the marriage barely lasted a year before Heard applied for the split.

The application came with a restraining order, accusing Depp of physical and mental abuse. Depp shot back, saying she was looking for a quick paycheck. He eventually gave it to her, paying $7 million wich Heard planned to donate.

In 2022, the two faced off in court after Johnny Depp accused Heard of defamation. She lost the trial and will have to pay $15 million to her ex-husband in compensation.
