Sneaky Fishermen or What?

One might think they’re staring at some groovy algae or graceful jellyfish, but this snap is actually a Vietnamese fisherman in action. Captured by the talented photographer Trung Pham, this stunning shot snagged the coveted second spot at the 2018 Dronestagram International Drone Photography Contest.

Surprisingly, with Vietnam being a nation surrounded by water, fishing is a vital source of livelihood for over 500,000 people who haul in the local striped catfish, known as “Basa”. With that colossal net, we can only imagine the haul this fisherman reeled in that day.
