This unassuming attraction at Daytona Beach doesn’t seem to be scary from afar. However, this machine catapults customers 360 feet above the ground, and as if this wasn’t enough, this happens in a span of a few seconds because it reaches 0 to 100 miles per hour in just two seconds.
Just a fair warning: there have been a few deaths in this type of ride. In 2022, a Missouri student fatally fell during the descent of Orlando FreeFall, prompting a call for a permanent ban on this machine. Investigation showed seat harness sensors were loosened to accommodate the victim’s weight.
