Taking the Time to Count
The manager knew Anders because he had been a devoted customer at the bank. This was why the manager accepted his request and agreed to help him out. That was a good thing for Anders since the bank gave preference to their long-time customers.
The manager was all too pleased to help Anders since he had done business with them on multiple occasions. They also had excellent customer service, which was why they didn’t turn him away immediately after he stepped in. Anders would finally know the value of all the pennies he had spent all those precious years collecting.
