An Expert Weighs In
As expected, there were those who found Yun’s claims unbelievable. Speaking with National Geographic about the topic, expert Lynn Cuny said that it’s not hard to tell whether a certain animal is a domesticated one or a wild one even when they’re young.
Cuny, who is the president of Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation in San Antonio, Texas, said that wild animals behave in a distinctly different way. For example, they exhibit signs of anxiety when placed in the same environment as humans. She also pointed out something else that was unusual in Yun’s story that others haven’t noticed.
