Given how big Little Black turned out to be, some might wonder whether he had some kind of gigantism. But while he fit the bill for his abnormal growth and excessive hunger, he didn’t really show any of the other symptoms associated with the condition.
It’s also interesting to note that other mastiff family members can reach the same size as Little Black. The English mastiff, for example, is known to grow as heavy as 250 pounds, too. Little Black would actually look small next to the record holder of the world’s heaviest dog title, which happens to be an English mastiff.
