In the early ’00s, there was a trend called planking. People would have photos of themselves taken while lying face down in a prone position on various surfaces. These surfaces often were not floors and became more and more extreme as the trend became more popular. People started planking in some bizarre places.

Like this grandma attempting a plank on top of that slot machine. Maybe she hit the jackpot and decided to plank in celebration. The planking position became so extreme that people ended up doing it on ledges, cliff edges, the kitchen counter, and the top of walls.
