Sigourney Weaver rose to fame at a time when Hollywood didn’t have a lot of strong, tall women taking on major roles. And she made us all believe that at 6-foot, a woman could become one of the greatest movie stars of all time. Fans got to know Weaver through the science fiction “Alien” film series where she plays ‘Ellen Ripley.’

In fact, her performance in all four of the films got her earmarked as one of the most significant female protagonists in film history. Weaver also has more than 60 titles making up her impressive filmography, including the 2022 thriller “Master Gardener.”
