Pauline Collins became a household name after appearing on “Upstairs, Downstairs” as Sarah Moffat. On stage, her starring role in “Shirley Valentine” earned her a Laurence Olivier Awards alongside a Tony Award. Retiring isn’t on the horizon for the veteran star while she’s working on upcoming projects.
You might have also seen her in the 2017 movie “The Time of Their Lives.” Her contributions to the field of entertainment saw Collins receive the 2001 Officer of the Order of the British Empire honors. Away from showbiz, she has been happily married to John Alderton since 1969, and they share three children.
