Ringo Starr – Age 81
Fans of “The Beatles” don’t always choose the English drummer Ringo Starr as their favorite. But the music writer Jeff Haden disagreed and called Ringo “the most valuable Beatle.” Many have described him as the band’s “glue” because of his drumming and because he had the right personality to get along with the others and keep everybody happy.
Always humble and easygoing, Starr is also credited as one of the most influential drummers of all time. His laidback drumming style inspired countless artists in both the 20th and 21st centuries and gave way to pioneering techniques such as low-tuned drums.
