Most people spend their lives working so that they can retire comfortably. Then there are these celebrity superstars, most of whom are retirement age or have retirement level acclaim and continue making waves. Most of them have incredible net worth, so it’s not about the money.

Some of them do it for the love of it. Others because they need to keep busy, while some just can’t stand the idea of retiring. Tommy Steele – Age 86

Tommy Steele is frequently considered the country’s first true pop idol. Steele is a skilled musician, composer, actor, and sculptor, making him one of Britain’s most diverse superstars. When his band, The Steelmen, gained popularity in the United Kingdom, he quickly rose to fame.

In the ’60s, Steele made a name for himself as a multitalented performer with his leading roles in stage and movie musicals, including “Half a Sixpence,” “The Happiest Millionaire,” and “Finian’s Rainbow.” He received numerous awards for his work in the entertainment and charity industries. Steele was first knighted in 2020 after having been made an “Officer of the Order of the British Empire” in 1973.
