Barbara Eden – Age 90

Some actors build extensive careers that see them starring in various roles and productions, showing their versatility. Others make their names in one role and build their entire career and legend around it. For Barbara Eden, the latter applies. She shot to fame in the ’60s sitcom “I Dream of Jeannie.”

She played the titular character Jeannie, a 2,000-year-old genie who is awoken by an astronaut. She played the role for five years, and although she tried her hand at other shows, including her own show called “The Barbara Eden Show,” nothing took off. In 2021 she appeared in a documentary called “History of the Sitcom.”
