Petula Clarke wasn’t just any old singer. She was a singer who broke boundaries and sang songs in many different languages. She created hits in English, German, French, and Spanish, although in English, she made her most significant impact with some iconic hits.
Some of her timeless classics include “Colour My World,” “Kiss Me Goodbye,” “I Know a Place,” and “Downtown.” She started young, singing since the age of seven, and even entertained the troops during WWII via radio broadcasts to Europe. She has sold over 68 million, and in 2021 she appeared in The One Show.
