Charles Shaughnessy – Age 66

Remember “The Nanny?” The show where Fran Drescher becomes the nanny to a wealthy single man and his children? Well, Charles Shaughnessy is the actor who played the rich man. He starred in the sitcom from 1993 to 1999 when it ended but returned to the role in Drescher’s spinoff sitcom “Living with Fran,” which ran for two seasons.

He is also famous for making long-running soap “Days of Our Lives” popular with ’80s teens when he played Shane Donovan and was one half of a super couple with Patsy Pease’s Kimberly Brady. In 2021 he had a role in another long-running American soap called “General Hospital.”

Helen Shapiro – Age 75

Before The Beatles and their mania swept the charts and changed the musical landscape forever, Britain had a different kind of music star. That star was known as Helen Shapiro. She lit up the early sixties with her smooth jazzy voice on hits like “You Don’t Know” and “Walking Back to Happiness.”

This also led to a stint as an actress with a notable role in films like “Play It Cool” and “It’s Trad, Dad!” Her popularity was short-lived, though, and by the late ’60s, she made way to the more attitude-filled upbeat music of acts like The Rolling Stones and Beatles. She still tours with a band called Hebron since 2015.
